Mexico City.- Singer Belinda and the Mexican group Los Ángeles Azules released this Friday ‘Por ella’, a song that fuses cumbia and pop and is consolidated as the second single from the official album of the 2026 World Cup, which will have its inauguration on June 11 in Mexico City.
The artist announced on her official Instagram account this collaboration available on streaming platforms, which also represents a new project with the Mejía brothers, with whom she released the successful song 'Amor a primera vista' in 2020.
For their part, the group, recognized for exporting Mexican cumbia to the world's stages, also wrote a message on their official social media highlighting the strength of the genre in the World Cup environment.
"Here we are at a million, because anyone can do a hundred! What an honor for us to share again with our friend @belindapop in this cumbia for the
2026 FIFA World Cup," wrote the exponents of the group founded in the 1980s.
The premiere of 'Por ella' also revealed its music video, where the performer of 'Luz sin gravedad' and the exponents of cumbia are seen at the Monument to the Revolution, one of the most emblematic sites in the Mexican capital, highlighting cultural symbols of the country such as wrestling, charreria and the Virgin of Guadalupe.
"Everyone desires her, but only one can have her. The competition is tough because not just anyone lets themselves be loved," Belinda sings in the first stanzas of the song, alluding metaphorically to one of the most desired trophies in the world of sports.
The single's production
According to information published by the FIFA website, the song was produced by the Puerto Rican Tainy through the American record label Def Jam Recordings.
"‘For Her’ combines the strength of our culture with the unique emotion that only the World Cup can provide. Mexico, Latin America, and the whole world unite in this celebration, and I couldn't be happier to share a song that was created with so much passion," the singer assured FIFA.
The official album theme of the
2026 World Cup is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube and also occurs within the framework of 'Cumbia sin fronteras US Tour 2026', the recent tour of the Mejía brothers.
