Santo Domingo. - On the occasion of the celebration of National Youth Day, this January 31st, the Acción Católica Padre Luis Rosario movement and Fundapro- RD criticized the problems affecting this sector of the population, including lack of support, high unemployment rates, lack of access to decent housing and high rental prices, low wages and lack of access to management positions in the public and private sectors.
They took the opportunity to invite young people and all the movements and organizations that work with young people to participate in the activities in commemoration of this important day for Dominican youth, especially to the Eucharist that will be celebrated in the Cathedral and presided over by Monsignor Carlos Tomas Morel Diplan, Coadjutor Bishop.
In a press conference held in the Radio Juventud-Don Bosco hall, at 10:00 a.m., they also called on the national congress for the immediate approval of the law that establishes the rapid reaction procedure in the event of the disappearance or abduction of minors, Alerta Amber RD.

The Catholic movement and the foundation of professionals, coordinated by Rafael Delio Gómez and Licda. María Icelsa Vargas, requested the national congress to approve with urgency this law that would create protocols for the search of missing persons. They recalled that it is the State's obligation to create the necessary policies and enforce the existing ones, to benefit young people and guarantee their participation as established by Law 49-00
