The motivational words were given by Dr. Modesto Guzmán, who highlighted that this type of action reinforces the State's commitment to the most needy communities and contributes to improving the quality of life of its inhabitants.

"I deeply thank the Dominican Republic Army, whose professionalism and dedication have been key in the organization and development of this day, their presence confirms that when the institutions of the State unite, the communities win. This day is part of our vision of bringing essential services to those who need them most, without barriers and without excuses," said Dr. Guzmán.

The head of the General Directorate for Community Development, who stated that the day was held by instructions of President Luis Abinader, announced the "Habitable Housing" aid program, which includes, in a first phase, the conditioning of 25 homes.

Meanwhile, Major General Jorge Iván Camino Pérez, General Commander of the Dominican Republic Army, reiterated his permanent willingness to collaborate in humanitarian and social support work throughout the territory.

"I just want to really thank you for the gesture, because I have only been a promoter since, behind all this, who has been there is Modesto Guzmán, who has moved heaven and earth so that this help from the Government reaches you. Secondly, to our governor for being a manager and coordinator; they are the real responsible for the benefit that you are receiving today, my gratitude always," said Major General Camino Pérez.

The Health Day was led by a team of specialized health professionals, volunteers, and units of the Dominican Republic Army, who provided personalized care, answering questions and offering recommendations according to the needs of each patient, as well as the delivery of medications, raw and cooked food rations, baby kits, mats, mosquito nets, and zinc sheets.

Also, the DGDC fumigation brigades carried out a house-to-house fumigation operation, where streets, alleys, vacant lots and the surroundings of the educational center were sanitized.
