Madrid. – The Association of Hispanic-Dominican Entrepreneurs and Merchants, Foro DoMadrid, recognized the work of Minister Víctor «Ito» Bisonó during his five-year tenure at the head of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes of the Dominican Republic, highlighting it as a benchmark of dynamism, innovation, transparency and efficiency that achieved important milestones for national development.
In a meeting between Minister Bisonó and Frank Segura, president of Foro DoMadrid, the organization highlighted the achievements made under his leadership, including the post-pandemic economic recovery and the boost to key sectors.
"During his administration, the country managed to break historical records in vital sectors for national development such as exports, foreign investment, formal employment and development of free trade zones," Segura expressed.

The Mipymes Route and the Industrial Route reached every province and municipality of the territory, laying the groundwork for the Meta RD 2036 Plan, which aims to transform the Dominican Republic into a developed country. DoMadrid Forum highlighted that the country took, for the first time, strong actions against illicit trade, protecting the health of Dominican consumers and strengthening the formal economy of the country. During the meeting, Segura emphasized the importance of strengthening the ties between the Dominican Republic and the diaspora in Europe, particularly in Spain and Italy, where the largest number of Dominicans is concentrated. The organization considers it essential that Dominicans abroad maintain a direct connection with the development policies promoted by the Dominican government, especially in matters of investment and trade. Foro DoMadrid reaffirmed its commitment to continue promoting the connection of the Dominican community abroad with the country's development goals and wished the official success in his new challenges at the head of the Ministry of Housing and Buildings.
