With the participation of the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, the twenty-ninth edition of the Vega Real Expo Feria was inaugurated at the La Vega Country Club, with this version dedicated to the Minister of Agriculture, Limber Cruz, in recognition of his contribution to the development of the Dominican countryside.

The space organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Production of La Vega for this year under the slogan "Where the earth speaks, the future listens", positions the Ministry as a key player in technological modernization, strengthening productive capacities, territorial equity and the consolidation of public policies aimed at rural and Dominican countryside well-being.

During the opening ceremony, Minister Cruz thanked Expo Vega for the gesture, sharing the tribute with the producers and agricultural workers. "We have connected science, research, and technology with Dominican agriculture," he stated, when presenting sustained growth results in national production under the management of President Luis Abinader.

Vice President Peña also received recognition for her outstanding career. Figures such as José Agustín Hernández, Ney Pimentel, Oliverio Espaillat, and Hugo Concepción were also honored for their contributions to production.

The activity is projected as a strategic space to enable agricultural achievements and challenges, promoting intersectoral synergy towards a more prosperous and sustainable rural future.

The event was attended by national and local authorities, including former President Hipólito Mejía; the governor of La Vega, Luisa Jiménez; the Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz; Senator Ramón Rogelio Genao; directors of entities linked to agriculture, Fedocámaras and municipal areas.
