“‘Get in there, damn it’: citizens remember Ramón Alburquerque for his frankness and honesty”

Santo Domingo.– During a tour conducted on the streets by a team from De Último Minuto, citizens of different ages shared how they remember Ramón Alburquerque, highlighting his iconic phrase “entren to’ coño” and his image as an honest and direct politician.

"That was a fearless man, he spoke his mind," expressed one of those consulted, noting that Alburquerque was distinguished by his firm character within Dominican politics. Other citizens agreed that his way of speaking marked an era. "That phrase nobody forgets, but beyond that he was a serious politician," commented another passerby interviewed during the tour.

Also, several highlighted their integrity.

"He was one of the few politicians who one felt didn't sell out," stated a citizen, while highlighting the coherence of his public career.
