Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that during the night of this Thursday, clear sky conditions will prevail in Greater Santo Domingo. However, towards the Atlantic coast, some isolated showers will be recorded due to the moderate east wind, especially in provinces such as La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez and Espaillat.
For the morning of this Saturday, these precipitations will continue in the north and northeast of the country. In the afternoon, a trough will begin to affect the national territory, causing locally moderate showers, accompanied by possible thunderstorms and wind gusts in Greater Santo Domingo, as well as in San Pedro de Macorís, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Azua (north zone), San Juan, Elías Piña and Santiago, among other nearby provinces. These conditions will persist until the early hours of the night, when the rainy activity will tend to concentrate again towards the Atlantic coast. Saturday will present a similar panorama, while for Sunday a gradual decrease in rainfall is expected.
