Santo Domingo.- The First Lady of the Dominican Republic, Raquel Arbaje, met with Princess Leonor de Borbón, who arrived in the country aboard the training ship Juan Sebastián de Elcano, as part of her training process in the Spanish Navy.
Arbaje described the meeting as an "enriching and close" experience, and highlighted the honor it represented for the nation to receive the heir to the Spanish throne along with the crew of the historic sailboat.
“Touring this vessel, learning about its history, and sharing with its crew gave us the opportunity to connect with a tradition marked by commitment, vocation, and service,” said the First Lady.
Princess Leonor's visit strengthens the historical, cultural, and cooperation ties between Spain and the Dominican Republic, highlighting the importance of bilateral relations between both nations.
