Rodrigo Hernández emigrated from Spain in the year 1955.

Santo Domingo.- The business community reports the death of businessman Rodrigo Hernández Rodríguez, known as “Don Rodrigo”, founder of Casa Rodríguez, SRL in the Mercado Modelo of Santo Domingo.

Hernández pioneered grain packaging, such as beans, introducing machinery to produce 800 g and 400 g presentations, and used climate-controlled warehouses to preserve product quality. He created the "Don Rodrigo" brand, which has evolved to include canned grains and other staples, expanding its operations to personal and household hygiene products. Hernández was not only a brilliant businessman, but also a deeply admirable family man. He was a committed husband, an exemplary father, and a grandfather full of tenderness, values that he transmitted in every aspect of his life. As a business leader, he always combined his business vision with humanity, building a corporate culture based on ethics, respect, and innovation.

The funeral honors will be held at the Blandino Funeral Home on Abraham Lincoln Ave., on Thursday, November 20, 2025, starting at 12:00 p.m. The Hernández Victoriano family thanks you for the numerous expressions of affection, respect, and solidarity received following the passing of Don Rodrigo.
