Azua. – Senator for the province of Azua, Lía Díaz, expressed her gratitude to the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and to the Minister of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), engineer Eduardo Estrella, for accepting the request to include this province in the national plan of more than 30 works that this institution will execute in demarcations affected by the tropical storm Melissa.
The legislator considered that this decision represents a timely and responsible response from the central government to the most urgent needs of Azua, a province historically vulnerable to atmospheric phenomena and recurrent damage caused by rainfall to its road infrastructure.
Díaz highlighted that the execution of these works will contribute to improving safety, connectivity, and mobility between communities, positively impacting the social and economic development of the province.
