La Vega, R.D. – A truck loaded with rice overturned this Wednesday near the El Pino irrigation canal, in the province of La Vega, generating concern among community members in the area.
According to preliminary information, the vehicle lost control for reasons not yet clarified and ended up tilted inside the canal. Despite the spectacular nature of the accident, the driver managed to get out in time, avoiding fatal consequences.
Witnesses reported that, upon realizing the truck was tilting dangerously, the driver reacted quickly and abandoned the cab before the vehicle overturned completely.
Curious onlookers and relevant authorities showed up at the scene, who began the work to assess the situation and coordinate the extraction of the truck, as well as the recovery of the cargo.
