Santo Domingo. - The Dominican Tennis Federation (Fedotenis) together with Vilas Tennis Academy will hold two consecutive weeks of W35 professional events in Punta Cana, with players from 22 countries, at the Vilas academy, in the Ocean El Faro Hotel, in Uvero Alto.
The information was announced by Sergio Tobal, vice president of Fedotenis, who indicated that the professional tournaments will have Omar “Jimi” Cardona as referee, assisted by Francisco de los Santos.
Tobal added that the Main Draw has 32 players and the Qualy also has 32, these start this weekend. The main draw starts on Monday, September 1st, until Sunday the 7th. The second week of events starts on the 8th and concludes on September 14th.
Both tournaments will distribute 30 thousand dollars each, totaling 60 thousand in total.
The director of both events is Sergio Sabadello, who stated that everything is ready to receive top-level tennis players.
Each tournament distributes 35 points to the champion, 23 to the finalist, 14 to the semi-finalist, 8 points to the quarter-finalists and 4 to the round of 16.
