Zelensky congratulates Trump and Melania on Thanksgiving

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated the American people and their president and first lady, Donald and Melania Trump, this Thursday on the occasion of Thanksgiving, in a message posted on his social media in which he thanked Washington's support and expressed his hope of being able to advance in the peace negotiations promoted by the White House. "We are very pleased that our relationship is constructive and we hope for more positive progress in diplomacy, to finally end Russia's war against our people forever," Zelensky wrote. The Ukrainian president said his country appreciates American support "that has saved many lives" and helps Ukrainians "defend their independence every day."

"We sincerely hope that a worthy peace and security guarantees will be our joint achievement," Zelensky concluded his message.
