Santo Domingo.– The newspaper De Último Minuto celebrates its fourth anniversary, this Monday, June 23, consolidated as the most interactive digital media in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. Founded in 2021, the media has revolutionized the national information ecosystem with an agile, innovative proposal deeply connected with the audience, both inside and outside the country. In these four years, De Último Minuto has surpassed one and a half million followers on social media and maintains an average of over 8 million monthly interactions, positioning itself as the fastest-growing media outlet in the history of Dominican digital communication. The platform actively operates on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music and, more recently, on WhatsApp Channels, where in 2024 it became the second Dominican media outlet to obtain official verification from Meta, currently reaching more than 50,000 subscribers on that channel, a figure that continues to increase. In this 2025, the newspaper achieved another milestone by becoming the third Dominican news outlet to surpass 100,000 subscribers on YouTube, after Listín Diario and Acento, which earned it the official recognition plaque from the platform, reinforcing its positioning in the audiovisual ecosystem as well. Directed by journalist and documentarian Héctor Romero, and chaired by businessman and communicator Santiago Matías (Alofoke), De Último Minuto has built a solid network of professionals working from different provinces of the country, with local correspondents, as well as permanent teams in the cities of New York and Madrid, to cover the Dominican diaspora and topics of international interest. In April 2024, the media launched its monthly print version, with national circulation and also available in New York City, focusing on investigative reports, data journalism, and in-depth analysis. Subsequently, in August of that same year, it signed a strategic alliance with El Seis, an open signal channel, to broadcast its news content nationwide. In June 2025, De Último Minuto launched its English version and an advanced mobile application, being the first Dominican media outlet to integrate artificial intelligence, with functions such as automatic translation, news summaries, voice assistance, and personalized content, thus enhancing the user experience. In addition, since 2022 it has De Último Minuto TV, an audiovisual division that produces programs such as Noticias De Último Minuto, A la Clara con Ramón Tolentino, Politikal, Una Copa con Giselle and Más De Un Minuto, broadcast on cable television and via streaming. "We are celebrating four years, reaffirming our commitment to truth, innovation, and citizenship. Thanks to our readers and followers for joining us on this journey and making us their trusted source of information," said Héctor Romero.
