Santo Domingo.- The government of the People's Republic of China made a donation of electronic equipment to the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic, with the aim of contributing to institutional strengthening and ensuring that the country remains at the technological forefront in its legislative processes.
The official delivery was headed by the Chinese ambassador to the country, Chen Luning, who handed over the equipment to the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco.
During the event, the diplomat highlighted that the bilateral relations between China and the Dominican Republic are at a moment of great vitality, hope and mutual interest, which allows consolidating the political, commercial and economic ties between both nations.
Luning underscored that the Dominican Republic is considered by China as a reliable and strategic partner in trade and international cooperation.
Likewise, he highlighted that technology is a key factor in keeping countries at the forefront of development, ensuring that thanks to Pacheco's leadership, the Chamber of Deputies is already part of a Dominican-Chinese friendship association, which further strengthens collaboration ties.

Together, Alfredo Pacheco expressed his satisfaction with the donation received, noting that the electronic equipment will directly contribute to the management and treatment of legislative processes.Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy as a tool to consolidate relations between the legislative branches of both countries. The courtesy visit concluded with the exchange of gifts and the signing of a small-scale material donation agreement between the Chinese government and the Chamber of Deputies, highlighting the responsibility between both nations to continue working together on projects that strengthen institutionalism and development."We are very happy because we have received equipment that will serve to improve parliamentary work. We are happy with our relations with the Chinese people," he asserted.
