Samaná.- The Samaná Tourist Cluster (CTS), the Association of Hotels and Tourism Companies of Samaná (AHETSA) announced the welcome concert for humpback whales called "To the Rhythm of the Bay", on February 14th at the Marina of Puerto Bahía Samaná at 6:00 PM, with the stellar participation of Maridalia Hernández, Adalgisa Pantaleón, Roger Zayas and Frank Ceara, under the musical direction of maestro Pengbian Sang, with a magnificent orchestra made up of virtuoso musicians and a first-class choir.
This event is an initiative conceived to establish itself as an emblematic activity to warmly welcome the humpback whales of the North Atlantic, which arrive from places as distant and cold as Greenland and Iceland, and come to spend the winter in the warm marine sanctuary of Samaná Bay between January 15 and March 31.
This was reported by the president of the Samaná Tourist Cluster, Javier Lara Reinhold, who explained that the objective of "To the Rhythm of the Bay" is to strengthen the positioning of the beautiful destination of Samaná and especially celebrate the invaluable natural treasure that represents the annual visit of humpback whales to this beautiful bay.In their understanding, this is how they celebrate the whale season, with an annual event that marks the country, which promotes sustainable development and highlights the unique essence of this tourist destination."This concert is a key piece of our institutional strategy to promote the destination, by integrating the cultural and musical richness, the best of our gastronomy and framing it all in the majesty of the landscapes that distinguish Samaná," he highlighted.
