Santo Domingo.- The national weightlifting pre-selection leaves this Monday for Jarabacoa, where they will carry out their final preparation prior to their participation in the Senior Pan American Championship to be held in Panama City.
With triple world medalist Yudelina Mejía in Forde (Norway) 2025 as its main exponent, the delegation will train for a month at the vacation spot Jardines de la Montaña, where the federation concentrates its athletes in the run-up to their international commitments.
Willian Ozuna, president of the Dominican Weightlifting Federation, indicated that in addition to the preparation for the Pan American Senior Championships, the pre-selection will take advantage of its presence in Jarabacoa to continue and reinforce its preparation for the Central American and Caribbean Sports Games Santo Domingo 2026.
