Several individuals accused of group assault that left a man seriously injured in La Vega are being handed over.

The following individuals were arrested: Aneudy Emmanuel Pérez García, Edison Holguín Acosta García, Nelson Ariel Polanco Almonte, Keila Altagracia Cruz Bautista, José María Coronado Monegro, and Jobel Roberto Coronado Monegro, who voluntarily presented themselves to the Regional Sub-Directorate of Investigations (DICRIM), P.N., La Vega, in compliance with arrest warrants issued against them. They are being accused of alleged violation of articles 265, 266, 295 and 304 of the Dominican Penal Code, which sanction the association of wrongdoers and serious physical assaults, to the detriment of Luis Ángel Díaz Beato. According to the victim's statements, the event occurred on 04/11/2026, on Imbert Avenue in this city, where the victim was summoned by one of the accused and subsequently physically assaulted by several of those involved, causing multiple traumas, according to a legal medical certificate.

The detainees were cleared, with no prior police records. The case is under investigation and they will be brought before the justice system.
