Santiago, R.D. – Members of the National Police are maintaining a wide-ranging operation to locate two men linked to an assault in which a Puerto Rican citizen lost his life, in an incident that occurred on April 17th in this city.
The victim, identified as Raymond Clemente Navarro, 52 years old, died after being shot during a robbery recorded on Hispanoamericana Avenue, in the municipal district of Canabacoa.
The authorities identified the fugitives as Saúl Hernández, nicknamed “Wily,” and Wedelyn Orlando Reyes Rodríguez, known as “Wesllin,” both 28 years old and residents of Santiago de los Caballeros. According to the police report, the individuals are considered highly dangerous.
In relation to the case, Willi José León García, alias “Willito”, was also arrested, who allegedly participated along with those sought in the assault perpetrated at a vehicle wash establishment.

According to preliminary investigations, the incident occurred when those involved allegedly intercepted the victim with the intention of taking their belongings, causing the wound that led to their death.
The Police urged citizens not to try to confront the suspects and to collaborate with any information that allows their capture, guaranteeing confidentiality. Likewise, it reiterated the call to the fugitives to surrender through the means they deem appropriate.
Authorities continue to deepen investigations to fully clarify what happened and bring those responsible to justice.
