Danilo warns that the PLD will not support any party: "Let no one dream of us"

Santo Domingo. – Former President of the Republic, Danilo Medina, made the position of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) clear regarding possible electoral alliances, stating that the organization will not support or cede its political strength to any other party. The also president of the PLD reacted to versions about possible agreements with other groups, assuring that there is no intention of endorsing the political capital built by the entity. "Let no one dream of the PLD," he emphatically stated, while rejecting any possibility of support for rival parties in the current scenario. Medina insisted that the organization maintains its independent line in view of the upcoming electoral processes, although he reiterated that the doors are open for those who wish to join the purple political project.

In that sense, he maintained that any external support will be welcome, but without compromising the identity or structure of the party. "Let no one expect that the PLD is going to endorse its strength to any party," he pointed out.
