Another SUV was stopped with 15 undocumented Haitians in Montecristi

Montecristi. - A jeep was stopped by members of the Army in the Municipal District of Palo Verde, Montecristi province, with 15 undocumented Haitian immigrants on board.

The Ford SUV, Explorer model, white color, license plate G482701, whose driver fled upon noticing the military presence, was left abandoned with the foreigners in an irregular migratory condition.

In the investigations following the vehicle's detention, it was reported that the driver who managed to escape is nicknamed Cheiron, and that he would be a repeat offender in the trafficking of undocumented persons to Dominican territory.

The group of foreigners with irregular migratory status detained in the jeep, including (08) men and (07) women, was taken to the El Puente checkpoint, to then be transferred to the San Fernando Fortress of the ERD, for the appropriate purposes.
