Francisco Domínguez Brito announces he will seek presidential candidacy for the PLD

Santo Domingo, RD.– The political leader Francisco Domínguez Brito announced this Wednesday his decision to participate in the internal process of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) with a view to becoming its presidential candidate for the next elections.

During an interview, Domínguez Brito stated that, after multiple conversations with members of his organization who share his vision of the country and leadership style, he has decided to take on the challenge and launch his pre-candidacy.

"I have made the decision to seek the presidential candidacy. We are going to fight, to wage the battle. We will not rest because there are goals, dreams and a vision of a nation that is yet to materialize, and I will work for that," he stated. With this announcement, Domínguez Brito joins the list of leaders seeking to head the PLD's presidential ticket in the 2028 elections, at a time when the organization is trying to regain ground on the national political scene.
