Sabana Yegua, Azua.– The death of Jeremías Comas Méndez, a child who was in critical condition due to a neuroinfection with cerebral hemorrhage, was confirmed this Sunday by family members, as reported to this media outlet by an aunt of the mother.
The minor passed away on Saturday night, after several days in intensive care and following a complex transfer process to Santo Domingo, hampered by the lack of immediate availability of a bed in the pediatric intensive care unit. Hours earlier, the doctor who was attending to him had denied versions about his alleged death, clarifying that the child was still alive and dependent on life support. You can read: DGM assures that its doctors offered the necessary care to the newborn who died in Haina
