Santo Domingo.- Rodolfo Valdez, owner of the "Alta Gama" picalonga, located on Abraham Núñez street corner Pedro Mella in Boca Chica, appeared this morning at the De Último Minuto newsroom to report a serious situation that he claims keeps him in constant distress, he has been threatened with death by lawyer Karina Madrigal, who, according to him, intends to illegally dispossess him of his business.
“I fear for my life and the lives of my family. This woman has come several times to threaten me, even yesterday she told me that she was going to have me killed,” Valdez said.
According to the merchant's testimony, lawyer Karina Madrigal has attempted on multiple occasions to evict him from his establishment, without having legal documentation to support her alleged right of ownership. He asserts that the legal professional claims to be the owner of the property, with the intention of selling it to an Italian citizen, despite the fact that, according to Valdez, she has no title to the place.

Valdez also pointed out that Karina Madrigal is known in the area for allegedly resorting to fraudulent practices, such as fake contracts in which she pretends to have possession of land and premises. But the most alarming thing, according to his testimony, is that the lawyer has been linked to the disappearance and alleged murder of two Italian citizens, whom she allegedly pressured to sell her properties.
One of them, identified only as Romano, was seen by witnesses entering the lawyer's office, but was never seen leaving. Although the body was not found, Madrigal allegedly processed a death certificate, for which she was detained for several days.
“This is no longer a simple trade conflict, it's a threat to my life. My wife is pregnant and her health has been affected by this situation,” declared Rodolfo Valdez.
The merchant requests the urgent intervention of the authorities to stop what he describes as a chain of abuses. So far, he claims he has not received the necessary support, despite having reported the case to the authorities.
