Nizao, Peravia. – The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, initiated this Saturday the renovation work of Playa Linda, in the municipality of Nizao, with an investment exceeding 37 million pesos, as part of his national plan to recover maritime fronts.
The project contemplates the reconstruction of recreational and service infrastructures, with the aim of boosting tourism activity and revitalizing the economy of the Peravia province. "It's time to start recovering public spaces and the seafronts in this beautiful province, and we are starting here, in Nizao, land of hardworking people and great baseball players," Collado expressed during the event.
The work, carried out by the Executive Committee for Infrastructure of Tourist Zones (CEIZTUR), includes the construction of bathroom modules, three pergolas, two entrance portals, parking for 20 vehicles, showers and 258 square meters of wooden pedestrian flooring. Improvements will also be added in lighting, signage and furniture, with tables, umbrellas and chairs, for the greater comfort of visitors.
The area will also feature landscaping based on native species such as black mangroves, gri gri, almond trees, copeyitos and icaros, which will reinforce the ecological value of the beach.
Provincial and municipal authorities, along with tourism entrepreneurs and community leaders, accompanied the activity, highlighting the relevance of this intervention which promises to transform Playa Linda into a renewed tourist attraction and a worthy public space for residents and visitors of Nizao.
