UNICARIBE clarifies that there was no ceiling collapse in its facilities and that the incident was minor

Santo Domingo, R.D. – The Universidad del Caribe (UNICARIBE) clarified this Saturday that no ceiling collapse occurred in its facilities, as is circulating in a video spread on social media, and assured that the event shown corresponds only to the detachment of a line of ceramics in a classroom of building C.

According to an official statement, the ceramic pieces lifted due to air accumulation, which generated the breakage recorded in the video. The institution indicated that, as part of its protocols, the "Risk and Disaster Unit" immediately activated a preventive evacuation process to review the affected area.
