Bad Bunny gets 30,000 people to use the Tren Urbano

The start of Bad Bunny's artistic residency, "I don't want to leave here", has not only revolutionized the music scene on the island, but also the public transportation system, according to the executive director of the Integrated Transportation Authority (ATI), Josué Menéndez Agosto, more than 30,000 passengers used the Urban Train during the first two days of the event. On Friday, July 11, the opening day of the show at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, the train registered around 17,000 users. The next day, Saturday 12, the figure reached 14,000 passengers.

“Estamos viendo un patrocinio significativo, a pesar de que los meses de junio y julio suelen ser los de menor afluencia en el sistema”,

indicó Menéndez Agosto.
The official highlighted that adjustments have been made to transportation routes to meet demand, especially in key areas such as the metropolitan area, San Juan, Old San Juan, and Hato Rey.

“El servicio sigue siendo gratuito, y exhortamos al público a continuar usándolo”,

subrayó.
The Urban Train is now operating at full capacity after the incident on May 14, when a fire at the Martínez Nadal substation disabled the system. The last five pending stations were enabled just on the day of the concert.

Menéndez Agosto explained that, although the affected substation remains out of service, they have redundant systems to avoid similar interruptions.
