New York, USA – Dominican artist Nelly Swing participated in the “Summer for the City” festival at Lincoln Center, one of the most recognized cultural venues in the United States. The event brings together more than 200 shows of different genres and countries, including merengue singer Toño Rosario in its 2025 edition.
Nelly Swing, accordionist and singer known as “La Rompe Ola”, performed a repertoire of typical merengue with her group, as part of her U.S. tour “El Palo Pelao” 2025.
The Lincoln Center has included in previous editions other exponents of typical merengue, such as Fefita la Grande, Típico Urbano and La Barbie del Acordeón, as part of its open cultural access initiative, which ranges from classical music to Caribbean rhythms.
