Taylor Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania on December 13, 1989. She is a singer, songwriter, and record producer known for her artistic reinventions and cultural impact.
Her father, Scott Kingsley Swift, has been a financial advisor at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, grew up in Pennsylvania, and is a descendant of three generations of bank presidents. Her mother, Andrea Gardner Swift, is a homemaker and worked as a marketing executive at an investment fund.
She has a brother named Austin and they were raised as Presbyterians, attending Vacation Bible School every summer. In 2023, she was declared "Person of the Year" by Time Magazine, becoming the first artist to appear on that cover solely for her work, while Forbes positioned her as the fifth most powerful woman in the world, being the only singer on the entire list.
