Man dies after being dragged into an MRI machine

A 61-year-old man died after being pulled into an MRI machine at a clinic in Westbury, New York, USA, local media reported, according to the local Police Department. The tragedy occurred on Wednesday.

The deceased was wearing a large metal chain around his neck when he entered the MRI room without permission where a test was being performed, the institution specified. The magnetic force attracted the chain, dragging the man.

The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he died.
