Médico Express launches Total Scan: full-body MRI with AI-optimized image generation

San Isidro, May 2025 – Médico Express, a state-of-the-art outpatient health center, presents the Total Scan, an advanced full-body MRI that offers a comprehensive, precise, and non-invasive view of the patient's health status. This study is specially designed to support the prevention, early diagnosis, and monitoring of multiple pathologies, in symptomatic patients or those with risk factors.

The Total Scan can contribute to detecting tumors, cardiovascular, neurological, and musculoskeletal diseases, and obtaining a detailed visualization of organs such as the brain, heart, liver, pancreas, kidneys, prostate, among others.

This innovative study is performed with the Signa Prime 1.5 Tesla resonator, one of the most modern technological platforms in the country, capable of acquiring high-resolution images in less time, without exposure to ionizing radiation, nor the use of contrast medium.

This equipment incorporates artificial intelligence algorithms that optimize image reconstruction and processing, allowing for a clearer visualization of the body's tissues and structures.

“Full-body resonance, with artificial intelligence-enhanced technology, allows us to more efficiently evaluate complex anatomical areas and detect subtle findings with greater precision,” explains Dr. Melisa Ravelo, coordinator of Medical Imaging at Médico Express.

A modern and specialized diagnostic ecosystem

The Total Scan integrates into an advanced diagnostic ecosystem in which Médico Express combines cutting-edge technology and subspecialized medical experience. Among the equipment that complements this proposal are:

• Senographe Pristina 3D mammography, which uses intelligent tools to improve image quality, reduce radiation dose, and offer a more comfortable experience for the patient.

• GE Revolution 128-slice CT scanner, which allows for rapid and detailed reconstruction of complex studies.

• Voluson S8 sonographer, specialized in maternal-fetal imaging, offering 4D scans with greater clarity thanks to AI-assisted processing.

The Radiology Department at Médico Express is comprised of subspecialist radiologists in areas such as neuroradiology, cardiovascular radiology, musculoskeletal, and breast imaging. These professionals interpret the studies with rigorous clinical criteria, generating reports of high diagnostic value.

In addition to this, there is an integral unit for cardiovascular studies, which includes echocardiogram, stress test, AI-assisted cardisiography, and Holter monitoring, useful for the early detection of heart diseases.

Médico Express also provides patients with an innovative patient portal with real-time access to images, results, and medical history, as well as a telemedicine service that facilitates the continuity of care.

Much more than medical images.

In addition to the diagnostic area, Médico Express offers more than 40 medical specialties, outpatient surgery, executive check-up unit, endoscopy, dentistry, ophthalmology, emergency service and an International Department certified by Global Healthcare Accreditation, promoting health tourism in the Dominican Republic.
