The stands of the capital stadium served as the setting for hundreds of fans to witness the team's first training session in the country. The atmosphere was marked by the group's unity, smiles and constant conversations between the players, a reflection of the chemistry that has strengthened since the beginning of the concentration. The pitchers, led by Sandy Alcántara, opened the session to applause. Subsequently, the defensive work highlighted the quality of the team, with coordinated movements in the infield and multiple combinations that demonstrate the depth of the roster. During batting practice, one of the most exciting moments of the day arrived. Soto inaugurated the power exhibition with a home run, followed by other sluggers. However, Tatis Jr. stole the show by hitting four consecutive home runs, eliciting applause from those present. Leader Albert Pujols has established clear roles from day one, a decision that, according to the players themselves, has been crucial to maintaining harmony. Likewise, the designation of Manny Machado as captain has been accepted with respect and support by the entire group. Guerrero Jr. reiterated that each member is willing to fulfill the role assigned to them for the benefit of the country, while Julio Rodríguez valued the direct communication of the coaching staff as a key factor for cohesion. With that support from the public and a team loaded with talent, the Dominican team will seek to transfer the energy from training to the field when they face Detroit in their first preparation test for 2026.
