Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Republic team that will participate in the 2026 World Baseball Classic will have its first exhibition game this Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium, after a practice that ignited the enthusiasm of the fans.

The stands of the capital stadium served as the setting for hundreds of fans to witness the team's first training session in the country. The atmosphere was marked by the group's unity, smiles and constant conversations between the players, a reflection of the chemistry that has strengthened since the beginning of the concentration. The pitchers, led by Sandy Alcántara, opened the session to applause. During batting practice, one of the most exciting moments of the day arrived. Soto inaugurated the power exhibition with a home run, followed by other sluggers. However, Tatis Jr. stole the show by hitting four consecutive home runs, eliciting applause from those present. Leader Albert Pujols has established clear roles from day one, a decision that, according to the players themselves, has been crucial to maintaining harmony.
