- 1822. Haitian invading troops commanded by President Boyer occupy the community of Baní
- 1844. The French consul in Santo Domingo notifies his country about the desires expressed by the Dominican people to be free and independent.
- 1890. The Dominican and Haitian presidents, Ulises Heureaux and Florville Hippolyte, met in the Haitian town of Tomasz Eau to discuss border issues.
- 1918. The interim military governor, U.S. Army officer J. M. Pendleton, begins his term.
- 1948. By decree 4918, the Military Aviation Corps and its General Staff are created, completely detaching themselves from the National Army.

- 2015. The Public Ministry assures that the bank transactions made by the corporate network of the former director of the State Works Supervisory Engineers Office (OISOE), Félix Bautista, exceeded RD$25 billion.
- 2019. The telecommunications company Claro reports that this year it continues its investment plan of RD$57,000 million in the country, which will extend until 2021.

- 1819. The treaty of offensive and defensive alliance is signed between the government of the united provinces of the Río de la Plata and Chile to end Spanish domination in Peru.
- 1852. In Nicaragua, the director of the State, Fulgencio Vega, who temporarily holds the position, decrees the transfer of the government from the city of Granada to Managua, elevating the latter to the rank of capital of the nation, a transfer that will take place four days later.
