- 1802. The governor of Santo Domingo, Paul Loverture, arranges a meeting to demonstrate that the Creoles are not hostile towards the Haitians, with the purpose of dissuading the military commander, Colonel Jean Phillippe Daut, from putting all Dominicans to the sword.
- 1832. A Haitian law prohibits the meeting of electoral assemblies in parish churches.
- 1846. President Pedro Santana orders the issuance of 300,000 pesos in paper money in denominations of one and two pesos, to circulate throughout the Dominican territory.
- 1867. Those accused of forming a revolutionary movement in Hato Mayor on January 20 are sentenced to death.
- 1868. The new government is installed, made up of generals José Hungría, Manuel Altagracia Cáceres, Francisco Antonio Gómez and José Ramón Luna, which lasts until May 2 of this same year.
- 1914. An airplane piloted by the American Frank Burnside lands for the first time in the national territory, in a seaplane, which arrives in the Ozama River.
- 1936. The official historian of the government, Américo Lugo, sends a letter to President Rafael Trujillo, thanking him for having commissioned him to write "a new History (past and present) of the Island of Santo Domingo".
- 1962. The authorities initiate a process against Major General Pedro Rafael Ramón Rodríguez Echavarría, former secretary of the Armed Forces, accused of being the author of the conspiracy to overthrow the legitimately constituted government of the Republic on January 16 of this year.
- 1963. The remains of Captain Alonso de Ojeda are stolen from the Ruins of San Francisco, without the person responsible appearing.
- 1965. The president and head of the Armed Forces, Donald Reid Cabral, through General Order # 16, of February 13, transfers Colonel PN, José de Jesús Morillo López, to the Center for Teaching of the Armed Forces (CEFA).
- 1970. The Vice President of the Republic, Francisco Augusto Lora, founds his own party, the Democratic Integration Movement (MIDA) to confront the re-election of President Joaquín Balaguer.
- 1973. A Norwegian-registered ship is attacked by a P-51 aircraft of the Dominican Air Force, as a preventive measure against the possible transport of weapons to members of the guerrilla group that arrived in the country at the beginning of the month, led by Colonel Caamaño Deño.
- 1975. Ediciones Vanguardia publishes the work "From Concord to Corruption", written by former President Juan Bosch.
- 2019. The general command of the Dominican Air Force considers that the security of the country is threatened by the actions of drug trafficking and crime, which is why it calls on its officers and enlisted personnel to prepare "to respond to these challenges, guaranteeing the good living and the security of the nation".
- 2020. Senator Félix Vásquez and the director of the Port Authority Marino Collante Gómez, are accused before the Attorney General's Office of the Dominican Republic by the opposition Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) which accuses them of threatening public officials or employees if they do not vote for the official candidates.
- -The Panamanian authorities announce the capture of the Dominican fugitive Gilberto Ventura Ceballos, who escaped from a maximum security prison in that country, where he was serving a 55-year prison sentence, 50 for homicide and kidnapping against five people of Asian origin and five for having escaped on December 28, 2016 from the La Joyita penitentiary center.
- 2021. The Public Ministry interrogates for more than four hours the director of the Shalon Unidos por Cristo church, Rossy Guzmán, in relation to her economic ties with Major General Adams Cáceres, in charge of the security of former President Danilo Medina.
- 2023. The Financial Crimes Unit of the Public Ministry arrests Jairo González, after being charged with incurring in a millionaire fraud, using maneuvers with cryptocurrencies and other mechanisms, in a raid carried out in a villa in the municipality of Jarabacoa, La Vega province.
