Santy, 24 years old and belonging to the Chicago Cubs organization, has stood out in the minor leagues for his ability to strike out batters. During the current 2026 season, the Santo Domingo native has shown remarkable progress, achieving a promotion to Double-A (Knoxville Smokies), where he has maintained an impeccable 0.00 ERA in his first appearances after completing 26 outs, of which fifteen have been by way of the strikeout.
Santy's repertoire not only stands out for its speed, reaching 98 miles per hour, but also for the depth of an arsenal that includes a slider, changeup, and curveball. This mix has allowed him to maintain a rate above 10 strikeouts per 9 innings during his six seasons in the minor leagues, solidifying himself as a specialist in dominating batters when the pressure increases on the bases.
