Santo Domingo. – The Economic and Social Development Council of Santo Domingo (CODESSD) held its traditional Christmas Gathering, a space for fellowship that brought together members, strategic allies, representatives of the business and social sectors, and friends of the institution, with the aim of sharing, celebrating the achievements made during the year, and strengthening collaboration ties for the future.
The activity took place on Thursday, December 18th at the Hyatt Centric Santo Domingo, in an atmosphere of cordiality and institutional closeness that allowed reflection on the challenges of the country and the opportunities to continue promoting economic and social development.
During the meeting, the president of CODESSD, Samuel Sena, highlighted the importance of unity and joint work among the different sectors of Dominican society.

"This meeting is an opportunity to thank the commitment of our members and allies, and to reaffirm our conviction that sustainable development is only possible through dialogue, institutionalism and collaboration between the public, private and civil society sectors," said Sena. Likewise, it was pointed out that the CODESSD will continue to promote spaces for analysis, proposals and consensus that contribute to the strengthening of democratic governance, transparency and inclusive economic growth. "We close this year with significant progress, but also with great challenges. From CODESSD we will continue working with responsibility and a vision for the future to provide solutions that positively impact Santo Domingo and the country," added the president of the entity. The Christmas Gathering also served to thank for the support received during the year and renew the institutional commitment towards a new period of work, marked by cooperation and the active participation of its members. With this activity, CODESSD reaffirms its vocation for dialogue, cooperation, and consensus-building, sending a message of hope and unity at the end of the year.
