Santo Domingo. – The communicator and businessman José Paulino, CEO of Agenda Oriental and JP Logística ERL, formally presented his resignation from the volunteer work at the Polideportivo and Club del Ensanche Isabelita, a decision communicated through a letter addressed to the mayor and president of the volunteer work, Pastor Dio Astacio, and to the president of the Presidential Commission for Provincial Support, Ángel de la Cruz Hernández.
Paulino thanked Mayor Astacio for the openness and consideration he received, highlighting the respect and value he gives to the community leadership and vision of the municipal executive. However, he explained that, after family reflection and taking into account previous conversations with the authorities, he chose not to continue being part of the volunteer group. The communicator pointed out that in the past some people linked to the volunteer work unjustifiably questioned his reputation, and staying in that space —he expressed— could be interpreted as a validation of those accusations. He stressed that, as a communications professional and businessman, he has the responsibility to preserve his good name and the credibility built throughout his career. You can also read: Trump reaffirmed his intention to pardon former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández
"My participation would not be consistent with my principles nor with my professional and moral responsibility," Paulino specified, also indicating that he prefers to avoid exposing himself to environments where some figures maintain a "complicated history" that could affect his professional integrity in the future. However, the communicator reiterated his willingness to collaborate with initiatives that correspond to his ethical values and that contribute to the development of Santo Domingo Este, a municipality with which he maintains a firm commitment.
