DINTEL conducts focused operations and seizes drugs, communication radios, and motorcycles in La Vega

Members of the Regional Intelligence Sub-Directorate (DINTEL), P.N., La Vega, carried out several operations focused on different sectors of this city, achieving the seizure of controlled substances, communication equipment and motorcycles, as well as the detention of a person. In a first intervention, carried out on the Antigua Duarte highway, Rincón sector, specifically at a point of sale of controlled substances, several people fled upon noticing the police presence, resulting in the arrest of Joel Hernández Trinidad, 30 years of age, residing in the municipality of Jima Abajo. In that place, 22 portions of a rocky material presumably crack, 02 portions of a powder presumably cocaine, 01 portion of a vegetable presumably marijuana, a large portion of crack and an undetermined amount of said substance were seized, as well as two communication radios and two motorcycles, which were left abandoned.

In a second intervention, carried out on 14th Street in the María Auxiliadora sector, a large portion of a powder presumably cocaine was seized, at a distribution point for controlled substances, whose occupants managed to escape. These actions are part of the strategic operations carried out by the National Police to combat micro-trafficking and guarantee citizen security. Regarding the detainee, he was taken to the corresponding police station for processing, while the seized items will be placed at the disposal of the justice system.
