The General Administrator of the Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED), Alfonso Rodríguez Tejada, held an institutional coordination meeting with the Executive Director of the National Emergency and Security System 9-1-1, Colonel Pilot Randolfo Rijo Gómez (ERD), with the aim of strengthening the technical and operational articulation between both entities, in coherence with a State vision oriented towards development, innovation and the strengthening of national security.
During the visit, strategic topics related to the development of digital infrastructure, the connectivity of critical systems, and technological interoperability were addressed, highlighting the role of ETED as an enabler and facilitator of essential State services.
The company's electrical transmission and fiber optic infrastructure constitutes a key support for the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of the 9-1-1 System nationwide, also acting as a channel for technological capabilities that strengthen the response to emergencies.

As part of the agenda, the delegation toured the facilities of the 9-1-1 System, where they learned about its operational processes and technological capabilities, in line with an institutional vision oriented towards innovation, digital transformation, and the strengthening of national security, fundamental elements to guarantee timely and effective attention in emergency situations. In the meeting, Omar Méndez, director of the Fiber Optic Unit of ETED; Martín Santana, director of Technology of the 9-1-1 System; and Hafet Guerrero, director of Technology and Telecommunications of ETED, participated. This approach reaffirms the importance of inter-institutional coordination as the axis of development, consolidating a vision of a country in which energy and digital infrastructure is articulated as a strategic support for the protection of life, citizen security, and the continuity of essential public services.
