Heavy rains cause flooding, damage to homes, and keep Monte Plata on alert

Monte Plata. – The intense rains recorded in the last few hours have caused the overflowing of rivers and streams, as well as the falling of trees and damage to several homes in different parts of the province of Monte Plata, generating concern among residents. According to preliminary reports, several homes were affected in different communities, as well as some locations that have been cut off and fallen trees have been recorded. Amidst the situation, Civil Defense remains on the streets, carrying out monitoring, prevention, and assistance in the most affected areas.
