Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel) announced the start of an international public tender for the allocation of radioelectric spectrum in the 700 MHz, 1700/2100 MHz (AWS), 2300–2400 MHz and 3500–3700 MHz bands, with the aim of promoting investment and expanding the provision of latest-generation mobile telecommunications services in the Dominican Republic.
The call is based on Resolution No. 013-2026 of the Indotel Board of Directors, dated February 26, 2026, as well as the general terms and conditions of the tender, available on the institutional website.
As part of the process, interested parties may register until May 5, 2026 and submit inquiries about the specifications until May 7, 2026, in accordance with the mechanisms established in the terms and conditions.
The regulatory body reported that the receipt of offers is scheduled for June 16, 2026, and that the opening of the economic offers will take place on July 28, 2026. The award is scheduled for the month of August 2026, according to the official schedule.
