ITSC graduates 645 new senior technicians

Santo Domingo.- The Instituto Técnico Superior Comunitario (ITSC) held its Eighteenth Ordinary Graduation, where 645 new higher technicians were invested, in the 33 careers offered by this important academic center. The rector of ITSC, José Ramón Holguín Brito, valued the 12 years that the institution has been serving Dominican society, contributing to the education of thousands of young people, thereby guaranteeing their development and that of their families.

“It is the culmination of a stage that will allow them to continue developing and achieving the best version of themselves; becoming citizens who will contribute to the Dominican productive sector, who sponsor more public-private collaboration, to have a greater number of technicians in the area of higher education,” said the rector.

The outstanding academic also stated that the ITSC's educational excellence has resulted in a significant number of students who have "enhanced their entrepreneurial capacity and are currently running their own businesses." Milly Ramírez Florencio, a student of the Higher Technician in Information Management and Tourist Assistance, spoke on behalf of the students, who achieved the highest academic honor.

"I feel nothing but gratitude towards this institution that welcomed me with open arms and trained me day by day to become the professional that I proudly am today," stated Ramirez Florencio.

Human, productive, and sustainable development The Instituto Técnico Superior Comunitario (ITSC) is a public higher education institution supported by Article 63 of the Dominican Republic's Constitution and Law 139-01, which governs the National System of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCyT). Created through Resolution No. 30-2012 of CONESCYT, the ITSC represents the State's firm will to promote quality technical training, oriented towards human, productive and sustainable development. The ITSC grants higher technical level titles and certifications of labor competencies, and develops undergraduate and postgraduate programs in those strategic areas that strengthen productivity and knowledge. Its work integrates teaching, research, innovation, entrepreneurship and extension, contributing to the progress of communities and the strengthening of the social and economic fabric of the country.
