La Vega. – The National Police reported that a preteen, 12 years old, residing in the Barrio Lindo sector, in this city, who had been reported missing through a publication on social media, was found safe and sound, without a formal complaint having been filed with the authorities.
After detecting the information spread on digital platforms, agents of the Regional Investigation Sub-Directorate (Dicrim) immediately began the corresponding investigations. On the afternoon of Thursday, January 8, the minor's mother confirmed that her son had already been located.
As explained by the mother, the child left his residence heading to a nearby educational center; however, he was later notified by the school that the minor did not show up to receive teaching, which generated the alert about his whereabouts.

The mother indicated that the minor voluntarily moved to the province of Santiago, where he was staying at a relative's house, motivated by a personal situation that caused him discomfort. The information was confirmed during the police verification process, after which the mother went to the place to look for him. The National Police specified that the minor is in good health and under the care of his mother, so the case was declared resolved, without any situations that put his physical integrity at risk being recorded.
