Miami. - In an unprecedented musical encounter, two of the most influential voices in global Latin music, Maluma and singer-songwriter Kany García, join their talents to release “1+1”, a vibrant romantic salsa that invites you to live love without complexes. "1+1" is much more than a song: it is an exaltation of the freedom to love and to express the heart without attachments. With fresh and bold lyrics, the song proposes a game of seduction in which "guilt is left out of the room" to "solve the equation" of love and desire. The unmistakable voice of Maluma intertwines with the lyrical and emotional depth of Kany García, creating a palpable and captivating vocal chemistry. This release represents a unique cultural connection between Colombia and Puerto Rico, imbued with authenticity and flavor, reflecting the richness and diversity of Latin music.

The song was written and produced in Turks and Caicos and Miami by Maluma, Kany García, Rafael Arcaute, Ily Wonder, MadMusick, Jonathan Rivera, and Richi López. The music video, filmed in Medellín under the direction of Stillz, an influential Colombian-American creative director and photographer recognized for defining the visual aesthetic of numerous global artists, perfectly complements the spirit of “1+1”. The audiovisual piece takes as its axis the preparation of a traditional bandeja paisa, developed with a fast and analog energy, loaded with gestures, textures, and rhythmic movements that dialogue with the musical beat. From Kany García's departure from a rural estate during the golden hour, to Maluma's almost folkloric ceremony bidding her farewell, the video immerses the viewer in a visual journey that celebrates Colombian culture through natural ingredients and everyday scenes: the farm, the transport of the supplies, the market, the butcher shop and, finally, Maluma's kitchen, where the emblematic bandeja paisa is prepared with humor and passion. The culminating moment shows Kany enjoying a paisa breakfast while Maluma and his team prepare a traditional lunchbox, symbolizing the final equation: food made with love and delivered with pride. "1+1" stands as an anthem to genuine connection, enjoyment, and living romance with joy and without complications. The release promises to conquer audiences worldwide and, in the words of Maluma, "invites us to immerse ourselves in a musical and visual experience full of flavor, passion, and authenticity."
