Distrito Nacional, RD. - The GBC Farmacias Foundation carried out an extensive free health day in the 27 de Febrero sector of the Distrito Nacional, benefiting hundreds of vulnerable families, as part of its sustainable corporate social responsibility program. The medical operation carried out this Saturday, May 24, at the Jesús del Mesías Church impacted more than 800 people, who received care in the areas of family medicine, dentistry, cardiology, pediatrics, ophthalmology and gynecology.
Raymond Rodríguez, president of the Fundación GBC, stated that the social days through the social responsibility program of the aforementioned business group, aim to contribute to the good health and well-being of the population, especially the most vulnerable.
“The GBC foundation always seeks the good health of our citizens, that's why we are carrying out these free medical operations with the various specialties; the fundamental purpose is to contribute to the preventive health of our people and bring them hope,” Rodríguez expressed.

Meanwhile, councilman Aneury Ramírez thanked the gesture of the non-profit organization and valued the positive impact of the medical day for the inhabitants of the 27 de Febrero sector in the heart of the capital.
“This is an excellent social activity that impacts all the families in this sector, we thank Raymond and the GBC Foundation for always lending a hand to the community with humility, with love and a great commitment in favor of people in need,” said the mayor.
During the philanthropic action sponsored by the GBC Pharmacies Foundation, with the support of Laboratorios Lam, Mamey Pharma, the International Institute of Vision (INVIS) and the dental group Manos que Ayudan a Sonreír, the beneficiaries of different ages received medications, food rations, disinfectant chlorine, layettes for pregnant women and toys for children.
