Santo Domingo. – A state-of-the-art aesthetic treatment, known as Morpheus, is gaining ground in the country as a non-surgical alternative to combat the signs of facial aging. The procedure uses microneedles and fractional radiofrequency to reach the deepest layers of the skin and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, proteins responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. Dr. Arlin Polanco, a specialist in Aesthetic Medicine, explained that this treatment allows for firmer skin, with fewer expression lines and a visibly improved texture.

“The surprising thing is that all this is achieved without the need for cuts, stitches, or long recovery periods,” indicated the specialist.

The device used generates thermal energy that acts directly on the subcutaneous tissue, causing a regenerative response that remains active even weeks after application. The depth of the treatment can be adjusted, allowing its use in other areas of the body such as the neck, décolleté, abdomen, and areas affected by sagging or acne marks. Polanco pointed out that Morpheus is indicated for men and women from the age of 30, especially for those who want a natural result and are not ideal candidates for surgical procedures. “It's an effective option for those seeking rejuvenation without altering their facial expression”, he stated. Another advantage, according to the doctor, is that the procedure does not require general anesthesia, leaves no visible scars, and the recovery time is short, generally between one and three days. In addition, it can be combined with other aesthetic treatments if the patient requires it. Morpheus subscribes to an aesthetic trend that favors less invasive technologies, aimed at enhancing the skin's natural processes without resorting to the scalpel.
