MP and DNCD arrest four men linked to drug trafficking network

The group, which includes a military member, had been under surveillance since last June following the seizure of 60 packages of marijuana at Santiago Airport Santo Domingo.- Members of the Prosecutor's Office for the Prosecution of Narcotic Drugs in Santiago and officers from the National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD), supported by the Customs Directorate (DGA), arrested four men who were part of an international drug trafficking structure, during operational intelligence work, carried out at the Santiago International Airport.


The detainees Harrison Antonio Paulino, Ronaldo Rodríguez Durán, Ramón Antonio Rodríguez and Sergeant Sequiel Segura Alcántara of the Army, worked in the monitoring, inspection and security area of the Cibao International Airport. Their arrest took place with the collaboration of the DGA and after an intelligence work of several months.


The arrested individuals are linked to a drug trafficking network that, in June of this year, had 60 packages of marijuana, a firearm and cash, seized during a raid in the Green Thomas Residential, in the Villa María sector, El Rosal.

Upon entering the apartment, which served as a storage and packaging facility for drugs, the authorities located five suitcases, where the packages of the plant matter were seized, all wrapped in black plastic bags, with a preliminary weight of 61.1 pounds.


Regarding the case, registered in June of this 2025, several people are in prison, including Víctor Founder, leader of the international drug trafficking structure.

According to the investigation, the network recruited people to bring marijuana from the United States, through airports, and then distribute it in provinces of the Cibao region.
The detainees will be brought to justice in the coming hours for violation of Law 50-88, on Drugs and Controlled Substances, while the Public Ministry and the DNCD deepen the investigations.
