Nelson Javier asks Acroarte not to nominate him anymore in the regional category; requests national evaluation

Santo Domingo.- The communicator Nelson Javier formally requested the Association of Art Chroniclers (Acroarte) not to be nominated again in the category “Regional Program”, through a communication addressed to the entity and its president, Marivel Contreras. The veteran presenter, known as “El Cocodrilo”, expressed in the letter his resignation from participating with his space “Buena Noche” in the regional entertainment program category, in which the program “Ustedes y Nosotros” won this year. "By means of this letter, we formally resign from the 'Buena Noche' program from the regional entertainment program line. We believe that this decision allows us to open space for other proposals that fit this category," the letter states. Likewise, he requested a reconsideration for his program to be evaluated within a national scope category, specifically in the variety programs section, arguing his trajectory, production level, and current projection.

According to statements offered via telephone to De Último Minuto, Javier indicated that he has no objections to new productions being recognized, but understands that the effort and quality of the content he produces with his team correspond to a platform of greater reach. "If I left them the gap so that, in a year, if I'm alive and they think I make a good program and it deserves to be nominated nationally, they nominate me; if not, they don't nominate me either, because everyone who watches daily entertainment programs knows what's up with 'Buena Noche'," the communicator expressed. The producer reiterated that his program is broadcast and consumed by a national and international audience, which is why he considers its inclusion in national categories within the awards organized by Acroarte to be pertinent.
