Orlando Piña and former CNSS advisors are recognized for their contribution to the social security system

Santo Domingo. – The National Council for Social Security (CNSS) recognized former council members for their outstanding contribution to the strengthening of the Dominican Social Security System, in an act headed by the main authorities of the organization.

Among those recognized is Orlando Piña, who represented professionals and technicians before the CNSS and is vice president of the Transparency Total for Democracy Foundation. Piña is widely valued as an expert in social security, with a deep understanding of Law 87-01, the legal framework that supports the system.

During his management, he made significant contributions to the formulation of policies, the defense of the rights of affiliates, and the strengthening of the institutional framework of the social security system, contributing to improving its operation and sustainability.

The award was presented by Edy Olivares, president of the National Council for Social Security, along with Aura Celeste Fernández, general manager of the CNSS, who highlighted the ethics, commitment, and service vocation of the recognized former council members.
