Santiago. – The chief prosecutor of Santiago, Quiesa Abreu Peña, informed that the Public Ministry will file this Sunday the request for coercive measures against seven people linked to the murder of Daivy Abreu Quezada, the driver of a garbage truck who died after being stabbed following an argument over a vehicular incident on the Southern Ring Road of this city.
According to the prosecutor, the accused would have pursued the victim after the traffic incident, acting in a coordinated manner until causing the fatal outcome.
The prosecuting body maintains that there are indications that those involved associated with the intention of assaulting and taking the driver's life, which preliminarily constitutes a case of murder with association of wrongdoers.
Abreu Peña specified that the Public Ministry has identified the seven individuals involved and is working on gathering evidence to support the coercion request. He also indicated that the incorporation of other criminal types is not ruled out as the investigation progresses.
